Family at home

This outreach program was created by 3 of our church members to help families in our community. We gather baby/children items from our church members as well as community members who are willing to donate to the program. We organize these items for children and babies and allow individuals who need to access them to come in and pick out what they need at no cost.

Faith Gaston

Faith is a distance volunteer who donates her time to creating our social media posts and corresponds to any messages sent to our media. She originally created the program with Megan however she has since moved. BUT she just couldn't let our program go so she is still involved in any way she can be.

Hello, I'm Megan. My husband and I have two children, one boy and one girl. My family has been fortunate enough to support our babies since they've been born, however I understand that that is not always everyones reality. Raising children is not an easy task. My Mom has always said "it's the hardest thing you will ever do but also the most rewarding" and nothing has ever been more true. Parenting and trying to teach your children to be good humans is hard enough. Creating this program is just our way of trying to release a part of the stress and filling that void with some connection.

We are always looking for volunteers, and offer highschool hours to students for volunteering. If you are interested please contact us at teachingattrinity@gmail.com

Holly MacKinnon

My name is Holly McKinnon, and I was born and raised in Fort Erie. I've since started a family of my own with my husband and our two amazing sons. Becoming a parent showed me just how much it truly takes a community to raise children, and it deepened my appreciation for the people and place that shaped me. Giving back to the community that has always been such a meaningful part of my life is something I genuinely value and feel proud to do.

Emily Schutt-Breau

Hi there! I’m Emily, a long-time Fort Erie resident, mom of two, and proud member of the Tuscarora Nation. Community has always been something I value deeply and want to give back to, which is why I choose to volunteer with this amazing program. It truly takes a village to raise our children, and I want to help ensure families in our community feel supported, cared for, and not alone.

Hi there, we are Shannon and Kevin. We are long-time Fort Erie residents that enjoy giving back to our community. We believe everyone deserves support, and access to care during challenges in life. After sharing 4 kids we know how challenging it can be so it's nice to be part of such a purposeful program.

Kim Lawes

Hello families, my name is Kim. Born and raised in Fort Erie, married with 2 girls and have been an ECE for almost 20 years. I have always taken pride in working with families and their children and becoming a volunteer at Mom Box has really opened my eyes to how much support is needed in our community. I'm happy to be a part of this small group of ladies giving back and look forward to connecting with you.

Lauren Hennessy

Hello everyone, I’m Lauren. I was born and raised in Fort Erie and still proudly call it home. I’m a cat mom, and while I don’t have kids of my own, I love spending time volunteering with the Mom Box program. It’s a meaningful way for me to give back and stay connected with our community.  I value connection, creativity, and showing up for the people (and pets) I love. My life is a mix of ambition and authenticity—working hard, laughing often, and finding joy in the little things.

Temi

Hello everyone. My name is Temi. Im a mom who is passionate about engaging with both young and elderly people, supporting them in their day-to-day activities to improve their quality of life. Whenever donations are received, I actively assist in sorting and distributing them fairly to those in need, ensuring they reach the right people at the right time. Volunteering gives me a sense of purpose, and Im always happy to lend a hand whenever its needed. I look forward to contributing more within this amazing Mom to Mom community. Thank you for the opportunity to serve.

Becky is also a Fort Erie lifer who grew up in Ridgeway. Becky enjoys greeting everyone as they come in the front door and loves to spend some of her free time giving back to her community. She has seen over the years what a need there is for our program and loves to be a part of something that plays an essential part in our local families thriving.

our mission

Our mission is to support families who are in need within our region by offering baby/child items at no cost, ultimately creating opportunity for families to use their finances in other areas as needed.

Anyone who believes they are in need of our program is allowed to access it. We do not have criteria that our families need to fit into. As well, it is not only Mom's that are able to access, we understand that all wonderful families can look differently.
